Wow, time is really going quickly now – it’s only 3 months left to the wedding!!
Even though we’ve managed to sort out a lot of things, I keep on thinking that there is still SO MUCH to do! It is unbelievable how many ‘little things to sort out’ come up unexpectedly when organising the necessary bits. It’s like a never ending story!
One of the ‘big’ things we managed to sort out recently is choosing our wedding bands. I didn’t think it would be so easy to persuade Steve to go to Hatton Garden one Saturday and miss football on a telly! It was such a nice experience though, being there together, walking from one shop to another and choosing the rings. I got exactly what I wanted and I’m so so pleased with my band.
Other thing is that we will be sorting out the legalities of getting married in Poland soon – it’s a bit of a complicated thing as it’s a case of a Polish Catholic girl marrying an English non-Catholic boy in Poland! But I’ve been told that apart of a few documents it should be fine – so fingers crossed!

In exactly 5 months we will be on our way to our honeymoon!
I really, really can’t wait – especially when it’s so depressing and grim outside!
Not mentioning that there are only 4 months and 3 weeks left to the actual wedding…..!!!

I’m pleased to announce that yet another thing is ticked off my ‘to-do’ list – woo hoo!
I have found the most amazing florist company (thanks to my Mum!), which offers a variety of AMAZING decorations. It was great to be able to tell them what I want and what I like (and also what I don’t, as I can be very fussy!), and for them to come up with with lots of fantastic suggestions. They made everything so realistic, that I got really really excited and I can’t wait to see the final decorations!
Unfortunately, I can’t give you any details – it will have to be a surprise on the day, sorry!
Now on to the next thing… choosing wedding rings!

The three airlines who fly out to Katowice and Krakow (Ryanair, Easyjet and Wizz) have started to release their flights for next May. Unfortunately the flight times aren’t great – a mixture of really early or evening flights.
The budgets airlines tend to start with high prices when they first release flights then the prices sometimes drop before going back up closer to the time. So for those coming over it is probably worth thinking about what your plans are and then deciding when you want to book.
With regards to hotels, we have booked all the rooms in our venue for the night of the wedding. These have been earmarked for family and some of my parents’ friends. Nearly all of the rooms at the venue will also be taken up the night before and the night after the wedding. So for eveyone else we’d recomend the Hotel Piramida which is not far away from the venue and church.
When you’ve booked up it will be great if you could reply in the comments or email us at email@example.com to let us know what your plans are. Or feel free to get in touch if you’ve got any questions.

The National Wedding Show is already in the past and I add last Saturday to one of my favourite girlie time moments!
We got to Earl’s Court around 10am-ish and although that involved quite an early start to get from East London to West London, it was a good idea – the place was busy, but not too busy that you couldn’t walk anywhere. As there were so many stalls, we didn’t really know where to start, but we soon managed to find our way towards bridesmaid dresses, jewellery and flower stands.
It was so good to spend some quality girlie time with my two best friends and my future mother-in-law – it was even more special when we had a cheeky glass of champagne! I really enjoyed our discussion on bridal hair, make-up, dresses, flowers… something I’m sure Steve would find very boring if I had dragged him along with us!
By the time we were finished looking around, it was getting extremely busy and lots of people started to turn up – so we quickly left the hall and finished the tour around.
I would like to thank to the three ladies that joined me last Saturday – I had a great time and I’m so happy we could do it together!
Oh, and we didn’t have whistles in the end and it actually didn’t look as ‘bad’ as it was shown on Friends!

The National Wedding Show weekend has finally arrived! And this time I am going!
I must say, I’m really excited about it. Shortly after we got engaged I got my very first copy of Brides magazine and saw the advert of the show. And since then, I’ve been looking forward to going there to see all the decorations, flowers, cakes and dresses under one roof!! Read more

First of all, thank you to all the guests who replied to our electronic ‘Save the Date’ cards – it is so great to know so many of you will be joining us in Poland! I guess this means everything is official now!
Other than sending out the emails, Steve and I have been doing some research on various honeymoon destinations. Even though it looks like a serious strategic operation with so many details that need to be included, it is still so nice to look through the catalogues, choosing hotels, checking the weather… I can’t wait until next year! As I’ve been rigorously following my ’12 month wedding to-do list’, one of the next things I apparently need to think about is what kind of music to choose for the church ceremony. I think I know exactly what I want for my big entrance but still need to decide what to choose for other parts of the ceremony.
But what about if I walk down the aisle in this style? (in case you haven’t seen this video) Read more
